The
company commenced its business operation in 1978 as a sole propretorship under
the name of Soon Tat Heng Ironworks. It was established primarily as a general
steel and storage tanks fabricator. However, in view of the company progress
towards improving further, we have expanded the company spectrum of activities
to specialise field of pressure vessels maker. Thus, it was later incorporated
as Soon Tat Heng Ironworks Sdn. Bhd. (Limited company) on 26th August 1986.
With the assistance of the bankers to acquire working capital, the company name changed to Soon Tat Heng Engineering Sdn. Bhd., to provide image with a wide spectrum of business coverage and gear towards Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) contractor responsible for the design and manufacture of a wide spectrum of high-tech equipment which include Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Towers, Drums, Cryogenic Vessels, Shell & Tube Fired Heaters and many others.
Being a locally established company did not deter us in showing the world our capabilities. Our products or equipments have distributed from the Far East Countries, through Africa Continent and reached Central America countries.
And
with significant growth in current oil and gas industry, the company manages
to penetrate this area and have successfully fostered business relationships
with some of the world renowed contractors such as Foster Wheeler USA and
JGC Corporation, Japan.
The reason for many of our long term relationships to customers all over the world is the consistent and high quality of STH's supplies and services. To reinforce our company's commitment to quality and to understand as an obligation to improve the current standard still further, we are set to culturise and cultivate ourselves towards achieving the international standard ISO 9001certification.
Over the last 20 years, STH has set high standards for engineering efficiency with its emphasis on stringent quality control as well as strong service and customer support at all kinds of its operations.
None of this will change. STH today believes in the presentation of all achieved and achievable advances in all areas of its product range. The future is based on the achievements of the earlier generations. Tradition does not mean "guarding the ashes" but rather "carrying the flame" This is STH.
